Yesterday, Automatic has released an all new update to its WordPress CMS i.e. WordPress 4.4.1. This version is a security release for all the previous versions and includes 52 fixes, one of which patches a cross site vulnerability reported by Crtc4L.
Please Note : The WordPress 4.4.1 is a security release so please update it asap. Before updating to WordPress 4.4.1, please take a backup of your website which help you to get back your site in the unforeseen circumstances.
It also includes some non security bug fixes i.e. some sites with older versions of OpenSSL installed were unable to communicate with other services provided through some plugins, Emoji support has been updated to include all the latest Emoji characters including the new diverse Emoji.
Sites has been configured to receive automatic updates, so your website should update within 24 hours. If have turned off the automatic update then you can easily download WordPress 4.4.1 from WordPress.org or directly update it from the comfort of your dashboard.
A total of 36 people contributed to this update. If you get any problems after updating to 4.4.1, don’t forget to create a new thread in the WordPress.org support forum.

WordPress 4.5 is coming in 1-2 months. Automattic has already started working on it. Company has not yet specify the month for the release.
